Registration Open for Pennsylvania Dairy Summit
Pennsylvania Ag Connection - 12/28/2017

Registration for the 2018 Pennsylvania Dairy Summit is now open for dairy producers, farm employees and industry professionals. This year's summit will be held Feb. 21-22 at The Penn Stater Hotel and Conference Center, 215 Innovation Blvd., State College. Attendees can now register securely online at padairysummit.org, where registration forms can also be downloaded for mail or fax and complete program information is available.

Succeeding in today's challenging dairy environment can seem like an unsurmountable feat. However, Pennsylvania farm families are no strangers to investing ingenuity and pure grit to find the light through the clouds. This year's summit highlights a well-diverse program for dairy farmers, including a mix of presentations, discussions and breakout sessions that bring insight to management styles and a changing industry. The Professional Dairy Managers of Pennsylvania and Center for Dairy Excellence host this premier dairy event annually for dairy farmers of all production methods.

Thanks to grants and support from the Professional Dairy Managers of PA (PDMP) and the Center for Dairy Excellence, registration fees for dairy producers and all farm employees are set to be as affordable to farm operations as possible. And, considering the challenging economics in the industry going into 2018, the Center for Dairy Excellence is committing an additional $50 for all dairy farmers so producer registration is only $75 for the first registrant and $50 for each additional person from the farm.

Scholarships are also available for qualified dairy producers or students between the ages of 17-25. A limited number of these youth scholarships are available and interested young producers must apply by Jan. 15.
