Pennsylvania Farm Bureau Calls for Presentations
Pennsylvania Ag Connection - 05/25/2016
Pennsylvania Farm Bureau (PFB) is offering educators, associations, businesses and others an opportunity to host presentations on issues that are appealing to a large group of farmers, during the state's largest farm organization's 66th Annual Meeting, which
runs from Nov. 14-16 in Hershey.
PFB is seeking proposals from potential presenters for several educational sessions. The presentations should be related to a wide variety of topics, including Agricultural Economic Trends and Forecasts; Agricultural Education; Animal Health; Commodity
Promotion & Marketing; Communicating about Controversial Subjects; Family Wellness; Farm and Food Blogging and/or Social Media Initiatives; Farm Business Planning; Farm Management, Finance and Marketing; Farm Safety; Farm-to-Table Promotions;
Leadership Development; New and Emerging Farm Technologies; Rural Entrepreneurship; Soil, Water and Air Quality Improvement Practices; and Veterans and Farming.
More than 500 farmers from all corners of the state will attend the conference, where county Farm Bureau leaders debate policy positions of the organization and set PFB's agenda for the coming year. Aside from the information seminars, the annual meeting
offers attendees a Health Fair, which includes free flu shots along with a number of valuable health screenings. In addition, PFB will recognize county organizations, Farm Bureau members and agricultural leaders with awards during meal functions.
For more information about criteria for the presentations and deadlines for submitting proposals (July 1), please visit www.pfb.com/presentations or direct your questions to PFB's Annual Meeting Special Events Coordinator Kim Flegal at 717-761-2740 or
