Most Pennsylvania Counties Looking for Rain

Pennsylvania had an excellent week for field activities with an average of 6.5 days suitable for field work, reports the Pennsylvania National Ag Statistics Service.
Temperatures were reported with a high of 99F, a low of 41F and a state average temperature of 75F.
Very hot and dry, with some scatter showers. Most counties are in need of rain.
Barley harvested, soybeans planted, and winter wheat coloring are coming to an end.
Field activates for last week included of haymaking, harvesting, and bailing straw.
