Ohio Red and White Claims Supreme Cow Honors

Meadow Green Abso Fanny-Red--ET, owned and exhibited by Frank Borba, Mike Berry and Triple-T Holsteins of North Lewisburg, Ohio, was named Supreme Champion to conclude the 2016 All-American Dairy Show on Thursday, September 22, at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex and Expo Center in Harrisburg.

The 5-year-old rose above all of the cattle, representing seven dairy breeds, to earn the title of Supreme Cow. This is the second year a Red and White Cow has claimed this honor. The Supreme Champion Award was sponsored by Cargill of Shippensburg, Cumberland County.

Supreme Champion Heifer was, for the second year in a row, the Holstein, Pappys Doorman Rousey ET, exhibited by Jenna Smith & Wade Yardley of Martinsburg, Blair Co. The Supreme Champion Heifer Award was sponsored by the All American Dairy Foundation, out of Henrico, Va.

Supreme Champion Bred and Owned was the Grand Champion Ayrshire, 4 Year Old Cedarcut Burdette Clove Colata. Owner Erin Curtiz-Szalach of Cazenovia, N.Y., won the use of a trailer for a year that is sponsored by M. H. Eby Inc. of Blue Ball, Lancaster County.

Jersey -- Underground Hollys Hope exhibited by Joshua Dunn of New Ringgold, Schuylkill Co., Pa.

Milking Shorthorn -- Kuszmar Arkansas Mud exhibited by Steven Kuszlyk of Batavia, N.Y.

Holstein -- Windy Knoll View Pantene exhibited by Reese Burdette from Mercersburg, Franklin Co.

Brown Swiss -- Cutting Edge T Delilah, exhibited by Kyle Barton of Ancramdale, N.Y.

The six other Junior Champions were:

Ayrshire -- Sco-Lo Dream Mistress ET, exhibited by Leslie Bruchey from Westminister, Md.

Guernsey -- Gold Top Ice Lutton, Bailey Wright of DeKalb Junction, N.Y.

Jersey -- Sony Premier Sonar, exhibited by Gene Iager and Kevin Ehrhardt of Baldwin, Md.

Milking Shorthorn -- Heavenly Zippy exhibited, by Brett Groebner and Jay Isiminger of Monroe, Wis.

Red & White -- Budjon-Vail HZ Lacey-Red-ET, exhibited by Natalie Youse, Ridgely, Md.

Brown Swiss -- North Lanes Braiden Present ET shown by Leslie Bruchey from Westminster, Md.

Best Bred and Owned animals (many of which were also grand champions) were:

Red & White -- Bo-Ann AB Watermelon-Red exhibited by Robert and Judi Hauck of Middleburg, Snyder Co.
